SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -
Police in Scottsdale are looking for a bank robber who fired a round into the ceiling and then fled with cash.
Officer David Pubins with the Scottsdale Police Department said the robbery happened about 10 a.m. near Hayden Road and Via de Ventura.
The man went up to the teller, shot his gun and demanded cash.
The suspect fled in an unknown direction. He was described as 5'9" tall, 150 to 160 pounds and wearing a black hoodie, light ski mask and jeans.
"We're going to take all the information that we have and try to carry out to its fullest. Hopefully if this individual is in the area and has done something similar, or will do it again, hopefully we'll be around to catch him," Pubins said.
Pubins said there were a few customers in the bank at the time. No one was hurt.
Anyone with information is asked to call Scottsdale police.
