The body of a teen boy has been found on a pile of rocks in a streambed in the White Tank Mountains west of Phoenix.

A news helicopter spotted the body around 8 a.m. Thursday.

Maricopa County sheriff's deputies began searching around 7:45 a.m. for a teenage boy reported missing Wednesday night in the White Tanks.

MCSO has confirmed Thursday afternoon that the victim was the missing boy.

Authorities are investigating the cause of death but they say they do not believe there was any foul play.
