Judge hesitates on sentence of convicted murderer

Tonight at 5: A Baton Rouge man convicted of three counts of second degree murder was supposed to be sentenced to life in prison today, however, the judge was hesitant because of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that affects cases like this one. WAFB's Jim Shannon explains.

Tonight on 9News at 6: A week after a fire at a Slaughter chemical plant, crews are removing debris and cleaning up. Plant workers said last week the liquid isn't hazardous, but residents are concerned. WAFB's Cheryl Mercedes will have more on 9News at 5.
