SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport Investigators need your help to identify two men who they say assaulted a woman at an ATM, and they have released a video of the incident.

About 7:15 p.m. on Saturday a woman drove up the Capital One ATM in the 5700 block of Youree Drive.

The video shows the woman stopping her car and began her transaction. Then two men approached her car from behind, one on each side.

Police say the man on the driver's side battered the woman with a handgun, causing serious but non-life threatening injuries. The man on the passenger side pointed his handgun at the woman, demanding cash as well.

But neither man got any money, and both ran on foot to a grey or silver vehicle that was south of the ATM.

Trenton Redstone, who banks at Capital One said the news surprised him, "I think it's terrible that you can't go to an ATM and get your money out. I'm not worried about me, but for my mom. I told her to do everything she needs to do before dark and get home."

Shreveport police say to be aware of your surroundings any time you use an ATM, especially at night.

"Take 30 or 60 seconds and drive around the financial institution where you're fixing to pull up to and see if you see anything that looks out of place," said Bill Goodin with the Shreveport police department.

Another option if you have to use an ATM at night is to go inside a grocery store or business with an indoor ATM where there should be more people and better lighting. Officers add if you ever see anything suspicious they want you to call the police.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $700 reward to anyone with information that leads to the identity or arrest of either man. Contact Crime Stoppers at 673-7373 or www.lockemup.org.
