MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Montgomery Police Department is investigating the city's 28th homicide of 2012, following the death of a hit and run victim.

26-year-old Oterious Belser of Montgomery was struck by a motor vehicle at the 100 block of Davis Drive on the evening of November 18th.

Following the hit and run, Belser was transported to Baptist Medical Center South in life-threatening condition and was later airlifted to University Hospital in Birmingham, where he was pronounced dead on November 21st.

MPD's initial investigation indicates that Belser was intentionally struck by the vehicle.  Detectives are currently pursuing all active leads, but no arrests have been made at this time.
