SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Shreveport Police are investigating an early morning home invasion that took place Sunday morning.
Police say, shortly after 10:30 a.m. they were called to a home in the 4500 block of Line Avenue. They found the homeowner, 72 year old Windburn Curlin, suffering from head trauma.
Reportedly, two or three men entered the home in a possible burglary finding the homeowner still at home.
Authorities spoke with a woman who says when she came to the house to check on Curlin, she saw two or three men running from the area of the home.
Police are working to determine what, if anything, was taken from the home.
Curlin was taken to LSU Medical Center where he is being treated for head injuries and remains in critical condition.
