DENTON, TX (KLTV) - According to University of North Texas Police, a sexual assault was reported on Tuesday night.
The male victim told police that he was walking the service drive between the Radio, Television and Film Building and the Art building when a vehicle pulled up beside him. The occupants reportedly asked him for directions to another building on campus, Kerr Hall.
The victim reports that he got into the vehicle to show them the way, and that he was then immediately attacked by the two males in the car. The passenger, who he says is a Hispanic male, displayed a knife and then the victim's eyes were covered.
The suspects drove him to an unknown nearby but remote location and sexually assaulted him. He was then freed on the east side of campus.
The victim said the driver of the vehicle was a white male in his early 20s, six feet tall with a muscular build. He said he was wearing a blue t-shirt, torn blue jeans, and brown boots.
The passenger, according to the victim, was a Hispanic male in his early 20s, about 5' 6" tall, with a stocky build, medium skin color, and with a very dark faux-hawk hairstyle. He was clean-shaven and wearing an orange t-shirt, blue jeans, and blue and white cheap-looking tennis shoes.
The police say the description of the vehicle is as follows: older model blue 4-door sedan with blue interior, possibly a Nissan.
The campus police offer these safety precautions:
Always walk in numbers. Tell family or friends your route and destination. Never get into a vehicle of individuals you do not know. Stay in well lighted areas. Carry a cellular phone or become familiar with the emergency telephone locations. Immediately report suspicious or dangerous activity to the police by dialing 911.
