NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) -
A northern Kentucky day care worker is facing charges.
Justin Harvill was arrested by Newport Police last week and charged with sexual abuse and sodomy.
Harvill was working for Boone County Head Start, but officials at Head Start said the alleged abuse did not occur at the facility.
Head Start released the following statement:
An agency
letter was provided to every Head Start family regarding
Justin Harvill. The letter was sent to each family regardless of which
center the student attends. The letter was just one step that NKCAC made to
inform our parents of the situation with Mr. Harvill. In addition, the staff of
the seven Head Start centers personally called every parent to inform them of
the matter and answer any questions. Specifically at the Boone County center, Sue
Felty, the site supervisor, spoke to the families either on the phone on in
person.
