MESA, AZ (CBS5) -
Mesa fire crews resuscitated a cat rescued from an apartment fire late Tuesday afternoon.
The cat was one of two pulled from smoke and fire at the complex near Stapley and University just before 5 p.m.
It took less than 15 minutes to contain the fire which was confined to a single unit, Mesa Fire Department spokesman Forrest Smith said.
Fire investigators are trying to determine where and how the fire started.
No one was home at the time of the fire. Two adults who lived there were displaced. Three other apartment units were protected and saved from the rapidly spreading fire, Smith said.
