CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -
Police have charged a 25-year-old man in connection with a November armed robbery in downtown Charleston which left a teen suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.
Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said investigators arrested Jimmy Deandre Henderson on Monday and charged him with armed robbery and possession of firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Investigators say Henderson and 18-year-old Antuan Jamal Means were robbing another 18-year-old inside his Lee Street apartment on Nov. 13 when Means shot the teen.
The victim's mother told police she was upstairs when she heard a gunshot, and ran downstairs to find her 18-year-old son laying in their storage room, suffering from a gunshot wound to his face.
Means was arrested on Nov. 19 and charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
The 18-year-old victim was taken to Medical University of South Carolina for treatment. Officials have not released his condition since then.
