SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
A woman thrown from a State Fair of Louisiana ride Saturday night continues her recovery Sunday at LSU Medical Center as state officials continue to look into what happened.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was taken to the hospital after an accident, which occurred about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. Authorities said Saturday that she had non-life threatening injuries.
A representative from the Shreveport Fire Department told KSLA News 12 that the accident happened on a ride called the "Fun Factory."
Sky Attractions is the owner of the ride, which was booked by Crabtree Productions. The owner says that until now, the Fun Factory has had a clean record.
The Louisiana State Fire Marshall's Office had inspected the rides before the fair opened, according to Fair General Manager Chris Giordano. All of the rides passed inspection, he says.
After the accident, the fire marshal's office went to the scene to investigate.
