Wednesday is the deadline for candidates to remove their political signs from public property.
If they don't, city and county workers will take them down at a cost to taxpayers.
While some ballots are still being counted from Tuesday's election, candidates around the state are taking down their signs.
Secretary of State Ken Bennett said many communities have instituted special recycling programs. Campaigns should contact their local government to find locations for sign disposal.
