Both the Amite police chief and mayoral races are going to a runoff.
None of the candidates received the 50 percent plus one needed to win.
In the mayor's race, the runoff will be between Walter Daniels, who got 40 percent and Buddy Bel with 27 percent.
As for police chief, the runoff will pit Jerry Trabona against Terry Tullos.
