BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
Baton Rouge Police are investigating a shooting that happened just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening in the 3100 block of Wyandotte Street.
Two men were shot and were taken to the hospital. One of the victims died and the other has moderate injuries, according to Baton Rouge police. The deceased victim has been identified as Derrick Marioneaux, 34, of Baton Rouge.
According to police, detectives discovered that multiple suspects forced their way into the victim's home before shooting him.
This investigation is ongoing and the motive for this incident is unknown at this time.
