Some precincts in Kenton County were running out of ballots on Election Day.
The Kenton County Clerk's Office says there was a higher than expected turnout and ballot spoilage, meaning some ballots were damaged.
Voters were still able to use 'E-Slate' machines, which were available in each precinct. These machines are intended for use by handicapped voters who cannot easily use paper ballots.
Use of the E-Slate machines cause longer lines because only a few are available. Extra ballots were brought in to precincts that ran out.
