CLAIBORNE PARISH, LA (KSLA) -
"First off, you're not going to hear me complain about jail, at all because jail is not supposed to be fun. So, you're not going to hear me say anything about jail."
Former Shreveport Chief Administrative Officer Rick Seaton has spent nearly a year behind bars after being convicted of forcible rape and abuse of office back in January.
On Monday, Seaton sat down with KSLA News 12's Adam Hooper to discuss his conviction, prison life and his plans to appeal.
Seaton is serving a 15-year sentence for aggravated rape of an 18-year-old woman inside Shreveport's Government Plaza following the 2010 Independence Bowl game.
From the Claiborne Parish Detention Center, Seaton told Hooper that he's currently serving as a trustee for the detention center.
In his down time, Seaton is working to appeal his conviction.
