ASCENSION PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Twenty people were arrested as part of "Operation No Show" for failing to appear in court.
Individuals arrested who bond out from jail are given a notice to appear in court on a specific date. Ascension Sheriff Jeff Wiley says those court dates are frequently ignored, leading to bench warrants being issued for failure to appear in court.

Sheriff Wiley says he's planning another "No Show" roundup in two weeks and encourages those with outstanding bench warrants to take care of them or face arrest.
