ASCENSION PARISH, LA (WAFB) -
Twenty people were arrested as part of "Operation No
Show" for failing to appear in court.
Individuals arrested who bond out from jail are given a
notice to appear in court on a specific date.
Ascension Sheriff Jeff Wiley says those court dates are frequently
ignored, leading to bench warrants being issued for failure to appear in court.
The following people were arrested for failure to appear:
Unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling
Two counts of felony theft
Possession of stolen things Theft Careless operation without a license
Possession of a legend drug Possession of drug paraphernalia Shoplifting
Simple burglary Possession of schedule IV CDS Two counts of possession of a legend drug
Improper supervision Domestic abuse battery
Speeding Driving under suspension Expired inspection sticker
Careless operation Expired license plate
Open container Possession of marijuana Possession of drug paraphernalia
Speeding Illegal tinted windows

Driving without a valid license
Following too close Littering
