Police searching for suspect in armed robbery of Baskin Robbins

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a Baskin Robbins in Baton Rouge Friday afternoon.

Detectives say the man walked into the Baskin Robbins in the 11000 block of Florida Blvd. just before 3 p.m. with a handgun demanding money. He grabbed the money and ran out of the store before police arrived.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'8", slim build and about 20 years old. He was last seen wearing purple shorts with a yellow, blue and green stripe down the side, white shoes and a gray hoodie. He was last seen driving a gray Ford Focus.

Anyone with information on this robbery is urged to contact the Armed Robbery Division at 389-3845 or Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.

    A man accused of an attempted armed robbery Thursday night was shot in the process and died early Friday morning, according to investigators. The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Kylin Spencer, 19, died at the hospital from gunshot wounds.
