LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A cheerleader who fell forty feet from an apartment window onto pavement has been released from the intensive care unit.

Christian Academy graduate Paige Raque, 19, was able to sit up and speak some words in addition to  waving and smiling on Sunday.

Raque broke her pelvis and suffered massive trauma to her brain from the October 13 fall on Penn State's campus.

Her parents have stayed by her side, along with her brother Parker, who is captain of the Penn State Gymnastics team.

Raques family asked for continued prayers. You can share your well wishes for her on Twitter #prayforpaige.
