BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Kevin Reilly Sr., a longtime legislator and champion of area causes, has died. He was 84 years old.
Reilly started out at Lamar Advertising, eventually becoming president and chief operating officer.
Reilly represented East Baton Rouge in the Louisiana Legislature for 14 years in the 70s and 80s.
He also served as secretary of economic development under governors Edwards and Foster.
After leaving politics, Reilly served as chairman of a number of boards, including Pennington Biomedical and the Our Lady of the Lake Foundation.
Those were just part of Reilly's long legacy of service.
