WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -
A state appellate court upheld the convictions and sentence against the man who caused the death of Sergeant Brian Dulle in May 2011.
Marcus Isreal's convictions for murder along with seven other felonies and prison sentence of 25.5 years were upheld by the 12th District Court of Appeals in a unanimous ruling on Monday.
"Yesterday's decision by the court of appeals confirms what we already knew – Marcus Isreal received a fair trial, and as a result, was rightfully convicted for the murder of Sergeant Brian Dulle. Notwithstanding this good news, my thoughts and prayers continue to go out to Sergeant Dulle's family, friends, and all of Warren County's law enforcement community for this tragic and senseless loss," said Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell in a statement.
Isreal led officers on a high-speed chase that began in Franklin and ended 18 miles later when his car struck and killed Dulle while he was laying down stop sticks in Turtlecreek Township.
