11 arrested for failing to register as sex offenders

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

Eleven men have been arrested in Livingston Parish for failing to register as sex offenders.

Their bonds were set at $25,000.

Three others were also arrested.

Ronald McCarroll was arrested and charged with harboring or concealing a sex offender.

Michael E. Duncan of Maurepas has been charged with failure to register as a convicted sex offender, possession of schedule I - 3rd offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Joshua Woodruff was arrested for aggravated assault.

    Students, administrators, and higher education supporters spoke in a unified voice Wednesday and their message was quite clear to ensure lawmakers do not forget about them. While the schools represented at the capitol were different, their message was the same. The students say fully funding TOPS and higher education is about more than a simple yes or no vote from lawmakers.

    The House Ways and Means Committee approved three tax bills Wednesday, giving lawmakers a trio of options that could raise revenue before the June 27 deadline.
