An injured Alabama Marine received the Purple Heart from the Marine Corps.
Lance Corporal Kendall Bane was injured last month after he was shot while serving in Afghanistan. He suffered wounds to the legs and stomach.
According to his Facebook page, Bane had surgery earlier this week, and he's now back in a regular room at Walter Reed Medical Center.
General James Amos with the Marine Corps presented Bane with the Purple Heart medal.
