ALGIERS, LA (WAFB/WWL-TV) - A mother in Algiers, LA has been arrested in connection with a fire that nearly killed her two young children over the weekend.
New Orleans Police say Monrovia Brown, 24, was arrested for child endangerment for reportedly leaving her 6-year-old twin daughters at home while she went to work Saturday.
When firefighters found the girls neither child was breathing. They used CPR to revive the girls who are still hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
Fire investigators say the children were playing with matches when the fire started.
