Louisiana State Police said I-10 East was closed for a while Tuesday morning due to multiple crashes near Whiskey Bay on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

All lanes are now open on I-10 West at mile marker 125 on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. That's not far from the Whiskey Bay exit.

The Louisiana State Police say the rear of an 18-wheeler caught fire Saturday afternoon. Crews spent about five hours working to move the damaged rig onto a flatbed truck to tow it off the interstate.

At one point delays from the incident stretched 10 miles back to the Ramah exit at mile marker 135. As of 7 pm, some delays are still being reported. Drivers are advised to take US-190 as an alternate route toward Lafayette.

No injuries were reported.
