Police searching for person who shot 16-year-old

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police are searching for a person who shot a 16-year-old in the back just after 10 p.m. Thursday.

Officers arrived on the scene in the 12000 block of Warfield Street to find the teenager shot one time in the back.

He told police he was walking down the street on Stacy at Tams Dr. when he was shot.

EMS took the teenager to the hospital where he is listed in serious condition.

The case is still under investigation.
