MEMPHIS, TN -
(WMC-TV) - A pregnant woman, who police say was intoxicated, is accused of hitting a parked vehicle outside of a Walgreens Tuesday with her two-year-old son in the backseat.
After the collision, police say Jessica Stolzle stumbled out of her vehicle and into the Walgreens.
According to an affidavit of complaint, the driver of the parked vehicle and a Walgreens employee tried to calm down Stolze in the store. Stolze did not gain any composure and said her son was in the backseat of the car.
The two found the 2-year-old child restrained in a baby seat.
When officers arrived at Walgreens, they say Stolzle had bloodshot eyes and staggering speech. She admitted to the officers that she had three drinks when she was at work.
Jessica Stolzle was taken to Baptist East Women's Hospital because she was 17 weeks pregnant and she complained of having an injured wrist.
Stolze was unable to take an alphabet and numbers test. The results from her mandatory blood test are still pending.
The 2-year-old child was picked up by his father and taken home safely.
