What's being done to help domestic violence victims?

Residents near the sinkhole in Assumption Parish are concerned because pressure is building beneath the surface of Bayou Corne.  Workers are driving pilings into the ground in order to access the trapped gas.  WAFB's Cheryl Mercedes has that story tonight on 9News at 5.

Later, on 9News at 6:  A woman's ex went to jail for beating her and when he got out, she says he went to her apartment and left a note threatening to kill her.  WAFB's Jim Shannon talked to District Attorney Hillar Moore about what's being done to help victims of domestic violence.
