BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
A 45-year-old man is dead after being gunned down at a Baton Rouge apartment complex early Monday morning.
The Baton Rouge Police Department identified the victim as Clement Legea.
Authorities said officers were called out to the 11000 block of Bard Avenue just after midnight to investigate a shooting.
According to police, Legea was found lying on the sidewalk inside the complex.
Investigators said he had been shot several times in his upper body.
He died on the scene.
Police said the only description they have of a possible suspect is a black man dressed in dark clothing was seen running away from the area.
Detectives have not yet positively established a motive, but said it appears to possibly be drug-related.
