EAST FELICIANA PARISH, LA (WAFB) -
A man accused of kidnapping and murdering his girlfriend in April 2011 has been found guilty.
According to reports, Antwoene Irving kidnapped Kiewanna Sopsher from Roseland. When she got out of the vehicle, Irving ran over her. He then put her body back in the car and drove to East Feliciana Parish before calling a relative and turning himself in to Zachary Police.
Sopsher's body was found in the car near the intersection of LA 412 and Plank Rd.
A jury returned a unanimous verdict, finding Irving guilty of second degree murder.
Second degree murder carries a mandatory life sentence.
