Cashiers accused of selling drugs at gas station

BERWICK, LA (WAFB) -

Two women were arrested on suspicion of selling drugs out of the convenience store where they worked.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office said Holly Rhodes, 29, and Daryan Parvino, 20, both of Berwick, were taken into custody Wednesday on numerous drug charges.

Authorities said narcotics agents investigated the Country Club Express on LA 182 in Berwick and uncovered information that pointed to the cashiers as selling illegal drugs at the gas station.

Agents reported finding marijuana, drug paraphernalia, Lortab pills and $1,174 in cash.

Rhodes was booked into the parish jail on the following charges:

  • Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
  • Distribution of marijuana
  • Possession of Lortab with intent to distribute
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Violation of CDS law (Drug Free Zone)

Parvino is charged with:

  • Possession of marijuana
  • Distribution of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Violation of CDS law (Drug Free Zone)

No bond was set for either suspect.
