BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
Baton Rouge Police will be offering a civil service exam for potential police officers.
Applications to take the test will be accepted from October 4th to November 2nd. The test will be held on December 5th.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old, a U.S. citizen, registered with Selective Service and have a high school diploma or GED. They must also either have or be able to obtain a Louisiana driver's license and pass the civil service exam, a physical fitness exam, an agility test, a polygraph, a background check, a criminal history check, a liability risk assessment, a medical exam and a drug screen.
Applications can be picked up during normal business hours at the Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Office at 1755 Florida Blvd. or at the BRPD Training Academy at 704 Mayflower.
