BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
Gov. Bobby
Jindal's approval rating may be taking a hit, according to a recent poll.
A Southern
Media and Opinion research poll showed a 13 point dip for the governor.
His
approval rating is down to 51 percent, compared to 64 last fall.
The poll
shows several key issues on the minds of those surveyed.
About 90
percent of those polled are concerned about proposed cuts to the LSU Hospital
System and the cuts overall to the state budget.
The
governor's reforms to education are getting mixed reviews, with 54 percent
against the voucher program, but nearly 70 percent in favor of increasing
teacher standards, including more accountability.
