Inmate attacks attorney during sentencing hearing


An inmate earned himself more time in prison Tuesday after he attacked his appointed attorney during his sentencing hearing.

The incident occurred at the Moss Justice Center on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Courtroom #1, according to the report from the York County Sheriff's Office.

Inmate Lamarcus Williamson, who was standing with his hands shackled, raised his arms up and hit his public defender, Daniel Hall of York, in the mouth.

Hall received a bloody mouth from the assault, according to the report.

The assault occurred in front of Judge Nettles and other courtroom officials and was also caught on camera.

Williamson was sentenced  to 15 years on his original charges and the judge tacked on another six months for criminal content.
