ROSELAND, LA (WAFB) -
A teenage boy accused of raping a 54-year-old woman is scheduled to appear in court for a sanity hearing Wednesday morning.
Carl Smith, 17, of Roseland is charged with aggravated rape.
Judge Ray Chutz is presiding over the case.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said he raped the woman in her home in June.
Deputies said he fled the scene before they arrived and was captured the next night.
