HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) - An arraignment hearing is scheduled for a woman facing a manslaughter charge in the death of her husband.
Lisa Williams, 45, of Hammond could get up to 40 years in prison on a manslaughter conviction.
She is accused of stabbing her husband, Jermaine Williams, 38, in May.
Investigators with the Hammond Police Department said the victim was stabbed in the chest.
They added Lisa Williams told them she killed her husband.
According to police, the woman said she and her husband had been arguing all night before it got violent.
Judge Ernest Drake will preside over the proceedings.
