PORT ALLEN, LA (WAFB) -
Port Allen Police are searching for a man
they say burglarized a home in the 500 block of California Ave.
While on patrol, a Port Allen Police officer
observed a black male subject carrying a television.
As the officer approached the male, he
dropped the television and ran off. The male has been identified as Darryl
Jackson, 19, of Port Allen.
Additional officers converged on the area and
attempted to apprehend Jackson but were unsuccessful. During this time,
officers discovered a home in the 500 block of California Ave. had been
burglarized and that the TV had come from that residence.
An arrest warrant has been issued for
Jackson. Anyone having any information
as to the whereabouts of Jackson is urged to contact our Department at (225)
343-5525 or your local law enforcement agency.
