NEW ORLEANS, LA (WAFB) - A suspect in the murder of a New Orleans dancer has pleaded guilty to charges in an unrelated case in another state.
According to WWL-TV in New Orleans, court documents show Terry Speaks admitted in federal court in North Carolina to failing to register as a sex offender.
He was extradited to North Carolina in June after being arrested in Tangipahoa Parish.
He and his girlfriend, Margaret Sanchez, were named as suspects in the death of Jaren Lockhart.
However, they have not been charged in connection with the case.
