MARTIN, Tenn. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football team returns to action on Thursday when it visits Ohio Valley Conference member UT Martin at Hardy M. Graham Stadium.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. The game can be heard in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9) and on the internet at www.LionSports.net. A live video stream, courtesy of the OVC Digital Network, is also available at www.LionSports.net.

The game against UTM (1-1) marks the homecoming for Southeastern head coach Ron Roberts, who played for the Skyhawks in 1988-89 before graduating from the University in 1990. The game also marks the return for Southeastern defensive line coach Brandon Lacy, who played his first two seasons (1998-99) at UTM and spent the 2005 season as an assistant coach where he helped the Skyhawks to its first winning season in over a decade.

Southeastern (0-2) plays its second game on the road in 2012 after dropping its home opener last week in a 31-14 setback to South Dakota State. The Lions, who opened the season on Sept. 1 at Missouri, faces UTM in the final non-conference tune-up before opening Southland Conference play next week against McNeese State.

Quarterback Nathan Stanley has completed 43 of 76 passes for 355 yards and a pair of touchdowns in his first two starts of the season. Stanley Moore (8 receptions) and Jeremy Meyers (6 receptions) are the top receivers for the Lions with Marquis Fruge', Tony McCrea, Jeff Smiley and Michael Chaney following with five catches each.

Kaleb Muse leads Southeastern with 17 tackles with Devan Walker (13 tackles) and Marice Sutton (11 tackles) next.

UTM plays its home opener after opening the season with games against Memphis and Northern Illinois. The Skyhawks defeated Memphis, 20-17, before dropping a 35-7 contest last Saturday at NIU.

Derek Carr has completed 38 of 73 passes for 475 yards and a pair of touchdowns for UTM with Quentin Sims, a Georgia Tech transfer, leading the team with 18 receptions and a TD.

Jason McNair and D.J. McNeil have combined for 110 and 103 yards, respectively, on the ground to lead the Skyhawks while Ben Johnson has recorded a team-high 22 tackles with one sack.

The game marks the sixth meeting between the schools with Southeastern holding a 4-1 lead. The Lions claimed the last meeting between the schools, 24-10, in 2010 as Tommy Connors sealed the win with a 12-yard interception return in the fourth quarter. The game will be the second between the former Gulf South Conference (1974-76) rivals in Martin with UTM claiming a 23-7 victory in 1975.
