SATSUMA, LA (WAFB) -

A man wanted in three other states has been arrested for an alleged scam to steal a truck and money.

Detectives say Johnny Hickman, 55, and Vicki Garces, 50, lied to the victim about delivering construction equipment which they claimed was out of state in order to get the truck.  They also lied about car troubles to try to get more money from the victim.

Garces was arrested September 5th in East Baton Rouge Parish.  Investigators say she refused to tell them where to find Hickman.

Hickman was arrested Tuesday in Nashville, Tennessee.  He was also wanted in Alabama, Arizona and Florida.  He faces charges in Tennessee of assault of an officer, theft of property and being a fugitive from justice.  When extradited to Louisiana, he'll be charged with theft by fraud and felony theft.  His bond has been pre-set at $1 million.

Garces has been charged with theft by fraud.  Her bond was set at $100,000.

The stolen truck has been recovered.
