BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Thousands of job hunters and hundreds of employers are packing the PMAC this week.
Tuesday was the first day the two day career expo. Organizers say nearly 250 local, national and international companies as well as various universities are represented at the event.
Job seekers are expected to bring resumes and wear business attire. LSU career services staff says so far this year's expo proves that jobs are out there.
"We have 20 more employers from last fall. It's definitely a great sign that the jobs are out there," said Trey Truitt with Career Service. "We don't see the recession as much, and this is a good sign for our students and it's a great sign for employers."
Truitt says the two-day event usually brings nearly 2,000 students face to face with these companies and post-grad program representatives.
