PLATTENVILLE, LA (WAFB) - DSNAP (formerly called Disaster Food Stamps) Distribution Center opens in Assumption Parish Tuesday. This food assistance is for eligible households who do not receive regular SNAP benefits and who need help buying groceries due to lost income or damages following Hurricane Isaac.
The distribution center will be at the Community Worship Center at 6688 Hwy Spur 70 North in Plattenville, La. It will be open Tuesday through Monday (9-11-12 through 9-17-12) from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The following information is necessary to complete the DSNAP application.
(applicants should have this information readily available)
- Name, social security number, and birth date for each household member
- Parish where you currently live
- Residential address
- Monthly income for each household member
- Liquid resources for each household member such as: Cash on Hand, Checking Accounts, Savings Accounts,Certificates of Deposit (CDs), Money Market Accounts
