Due to continuing concerns over flooding, road conditions, and power outages caused by Hurricane Isaac, Commissioner of Administration Paul Rainwater announced that Louisiana state government offices will remain closed on Friday, August 31, in the following parishes:

 *   Plaquemines
 *   St. Bernard
 *   Orleans
 *   Jefferson
 *   Lafourche
 *   Terrebonne
 *   Assumption
 *   Ascension
 *   Livingston
 *   St. Helena
 *   Tangipahoa
 *   Washington
 *   St. Tammany
 *   St. James
 *   St. Charles
 *   St. John the Baptist

State offices in all other parishes, including East Baton Rouge, will reopen Friday. State officials are continuing to monitor the weather, road conditions, power outages, and flooding. Stay with wafb.com and 9 news for the latest update.
