West Baton Rouge Parish: Isaac Update

Posted: Updated:

Information from West Baton Rouge Parish:

As a precautionary measure, West Baton Rouge Parish and Water District #2 are advising residence south of the intracoastal, in the Brusly – Addis area, to continue to boil water until DHH notifies us of the sample results. We have requested DHH to expedite this matter.

We are aware that the water pressure is still reduced at this time.

Shelters at the Addis VFW Hall and Erwinville Community Center are still open.

The Curfew has been lifted.

West Baton Rouge Parish Schools will be closed on Friday and will resume Tuesday, September 4th.

Allied waste will run Friday and Monday as scheduled. Monday is not a holiday for Allied Waste.  As soon as information is available on debris pick up, the Parish will notify residence as soon as possible.

All Parish Employees, essential and non-essential, are to report to work on Friday.

The parish court house will remain closed Friday.

Parish officials are advising all West Baton Rouge Parish residences to remain indoors throughout the duration of this event.  Keep the roads free for emergency personal to respond as needed.
