CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Two pickups and a minivan are topping the list of the most stolen vehicles in the Tri-State.
It appears thieves in Ohio prefer the 2000 Dodge Caravan while the 1994 and 1999 full-size Chevrolet pickup are the top vehicles stolen in Indiana and Kentucky, respectively. Many are resold or shipped overseas to be resold, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, which compiles the annual list.
When its researchers looked across the nation, they discovered the 1994 Honda Accord was the top pick for car thieves.
The good news is the latest crime statistics from the FBI show the number of car thefts across the nation is falling. In fact, NICB says vehicle thefts haven't been this low since 1967.
