BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
The man who was gunned down in the street Wednesday night, has been identified by Baton Rouge Police.
The shooting happened in the 5300 block of Ritterman Avenue in Baton Rouge just before 9 p.m.
Officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department said they received a call about shots fired and responding officers found the victim lying in the roadway.
The victim, Derrick Alexander, 35, was shot multiple times and had already died when officers found him.
Detectives have not yet established a motive for the shooting.
They also have not identified any possible suspects.
