Man accused of stabbing younger brother with pocket knife

KENTWOOD, LA (WAFB) -

A man is in the hospital after getting stabbed and his older brother was arrested as the suspect in the crime.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said an argument between Richard Ballard Jr., 51, of Kentwood and Kenneth Ballard, 48, turned physical Friday afternoon.

Deputies believe Richard Ballard Jr. stabbed his younger brother several times with a pocket knife.

They said Kenneth Ballard was listed in stable condition and his injuries are not considered life threatening.

Richard Ballard Jr. was booked into the parish jail on a charge of aggravated battery.

Bond has not been set.
