Jamie Williams, the man charged with slapping a child at the Kiddie City Child Care Center in Vicksburg, did not come to court Monday morning. A not guilty plea was entered and a court date will be set later.
Williams is charged with simple assault, which is a misdemeanor. He struck a 6-year-old in what investigators believe was in retaliation for an incident involving his toddler. It turned out that he hit the wrong child.
Surveillance video released after the attack shows a nine year-old's reign of terror over a room of infants.
The boy can be seen punching one little girl multiple times. Then choking another, then patting her back as she cries in pain.
Another time he violently shakes another child.
Williams referred all questions to his attorneys, Langston and Langston.
