Livingston to build new courthouse

LIVINGSTON, LA (WAFB) -

Livingston Parish is building a new courthouse.

The building will be constructed next the Parish Council Offices.

The new courthouse will house the sheriff's department, the clerk of court and district attorney's office.

The building is expected to be finished in two years.

Parish President Layton Ricks says they will take bids by the end of August.
